Repair & Maintenance

All Sophie Bille Brahe items come with a two-year warranty from the date of purchase. During this period, Sophie Bille Brahe is pleased to offer all maintenance, such as cleaning and re-threading, along with repairs. We guarantee that all maintenance and repairs are meticulously handled by our skilled partners and goldsmiths. 

After the two-year period, we still provide cleaning, re-threading and repairing services on all Sophie Bille Brahe pieces. However, there will be a fee to be covered by the customer.

Care Guidelines

Sophie Bille Brahe's pieces are designed to endure, reflecting the belief that true luxury lies in longevity. With appropriate care and handling, Sophie Bille Brahe jewellery can be treasured for years to come and become future heirlooms. 


To ensure longevity of the jewellery, we advise to follow the guidelines: 

  • Always treat with care and avoid strenuous activities which will expose your jewellery to knocks and scratches. 
  • Remove jewellery when washing hands and showering.
  • Always remove before bedtime.
  • Avoid exposing your jewellery to perfume, hair products and cosmetics.

Store each piece carefully and separately to avoid scratching.


To restore lustre and shine, we advise the following guidelines:

Gold
Polish with a dry soft polishing cloth. 

Pearls
Pearls are organic and very sensitive to chemicals found in soap and beauty products. These pieces are to be cleaned with a soft cloth. 

Diamonds
Diamond pieces are to be cleaned using a very soft bristle brush and lukewarm soap water, followed by a rinse in warm water and dried with a soft cloth. 
For diamond pieces, we recommend having the setting checked once a year at Sophie Bille Brahe. 



To ensure longevity of your jewellery cases, we recommend to:

  • Keep out of direct sunlight, to avoid colours from fading and discolouration.
  • Avoid placing the boxes where they may be exposed to heat (ie. radiator).

 
Please note that the boxes are made out of a soft material, and that small marks in the velvet can occur, especially if stacked with other objects and boxes.
